Michael C. Bivona
Attorney Michael Bivona is a member in good standing of both the Connecticut and New York State Bars. Since joining the Firm in 2013, Michael has been a critical member and leader in many of the Firm’s practice areas, including criminal defense, civil litigation, employment law, appellate law, and DMV / DUI administrative hearings in both Connecticut and New York.
Michael regularly appears in Connecticut’s criminal and civil courts. He also serves as the co-chair of the Firm’s Restraining Order and DUI / DWI Practice Groups.
Michael received his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Quinnipiac University in 2010. He then earned his Juris Doctor – magna cum laude – with an honors concentration in Criminal Law and Advocacy from the Quinnipiac University School of Law.
Michael then went on to receive another graduate degree, an LL.M. (Masters of Law) in Trial Advocacy from one of the top trial advocacy programs in the country at Temple University School of Law.
Michael is also a coach of Quinnipiac University School of Law’s award winning mock trial program.
While in law school, Michael served as the Executive Vice President for the Mock Trial Honor Society. He was also a member of the regional championship team at the 2012 Quinnipiac Law / ABA Criminal Justice Trial Advocacy Competition, winning the prestigious Best Overall Advocate award. Upon graduation, Michael was chosen by the faculty to receive the Arnold J. Bai Award for Outstanding Promise in Litigation. He also served as an intern for the New Haven State’s Attorney’s Office.
